By-Laws Committee: To review our current by-laws for function and usefullness; to set goals and standards in the by-laws for our association; to incorporate permanent committees with specific ongoing responsibilities; to structure our association to promote yaks through research and marketing; to fulfull our potential.

Internet, Website, Computer Committee: To set goals, standards, rules and regulations for our website for external communications as well as secured internal communications; for automated email communications to committees, the board, and to all members; for software programs to ease internal functions including registry.

Basic Research Committee: To explore existing data from around the world on all aspects of raising yaks, to all potential yak products and markets; to explore grant moneys available for basic research on yak feed and nutrient requirements, stocking rates, feed efficiencies, optimal yak crosses for meat, optimal yak crosses for milk/cheese, optimal finishing standards for taste and health aspects of the meat, for long term benefitss to the commercial beef herds for % of yak blood in the mix, etc.
